Full time position for Image Processing Scientist

Advanced Optical Systems, Inc. is a small aerospace and defense firm in Huntsville, AL, pursuing applications of optical image processing systems and related technologies. We are seeking an image processing scientist who can help develop these products and bring them to market. The selected candidate will work with a dedicated team of scientists and engineers. The ideal candidate will hold an M.S. in computer science, physics, electrical engineering, or a related field with ten years of experience. The candidate must be willing to relocate to Huntsville, Alabama.

1. M.S. degree in computer science, physics, electrical engineering, or related field is required.
2. A minimum of 5 years experience is required.
3. Expertise required in one or more of the following areas: automatic target recognition, image processing, signal processing, and sensor fusion.
4. Expertise required in MATLAB and numerical modeling.
5. Proficiency in SIMULINK and C/C++ desired.
6. Proficiency in optics or optical engineering desired.
7. Effective written and oral communication skills required.
8. Security Clearance Eligibility Required - Level Secret.
